1. Did you learn anything from this movie? If you did, what was it?
I do, I learn a much more about the law that says that black people and white one cannot be mixed, I realized how much racism can be possible in those places, and also that anyone can finish with any injustice that is presented.
2. What is the message of this movie? Do you agree or disagree with it?
I think that the purpose of this movie is to inform people about the racism in that times, and that it lasted no more than 4 decads. Also they try to tell us that racism was affecting a lot society and was something really unfair, and I really agree.
3. Was there something you didn't understand about the film? What was that?
I guess I got everything
4. What did you like best about the movie? Why?
I like where all the maids decided to help the white girl!
5. What did you like least about the film? Why?
I did not like any humiliation that appeared in the film
6. Who was your favorite character in the movie? Why?
Minny Jackson! I loved the way she acts, she's really funny and she took almost everything in a good manner
7. Who was your least favorite character in the film? Why?
Mrs. Hilly because of the way she treated the maids.
8. Did anything that happened in this movie remind you of something that has occurred in your own life or that you have seen occur to others?
Maybe I can compare this discrimination with discrimination at school. Not with black and white people but with bullying or that stuff
9. What were you thinking as you finished watching the film?
I was almost crying, I wondered how is life for black people and in the reason must of the people are not brave enough to unfold in that kind of situation
10. Would you recommend this movie to a friend? Explain your reasons.
I will, I think is a very interesting movie, that leaves you a big message, and because is one of those films that traps you in every single way, it also encourages you to be brave enough for telling what you think
11. What part of the story told by the movie was the most powerful? Why?
When the maid decided to take revenge to Mrs. Hilly, because it reflects the power of the people, the fact that we all are equal and the way you can make a change.
12. If you had a chance to ask a character in this movie a question, what would it be?
I would ask Mrs. Hilly what did she feel to belittle color people, that if it gave her any satisfaction or the reason she did it
13. If you had a chance to ask the screenwriter a question, what would it be?
I would ask him the reason he/she decided to do so.
14. If you were writing the screenplay for this movie, would you have changed the ending? Explain your answer.
No, I think was a perfect way to finish it because you leave a higher impact in viewers
15. What feelings did you share with any of the characters in the movie?
Courage, empathy and maybe value
16. Did any of the characters in this movie make you angry? Why?
Mrs. Hilly and every white people that belittle the maids, because I did not get the reason they felt that they were more or better than the others
17. Did you come to respect any of the characters in this movie? Who was it and why did you come to respect that character?
Aibeleen and Mrs. Skeeter, because of their courage to make a change!
